Living in the scorching climate of Australia, Luke and Laura, the founders of Pit Putty, became increasingly frustrated with the scarcity of truly effective, all-natural deodorants in the market.
Motivated by their awareness of the potential hazards posed by SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) commonly present in many anti-perspirants, they took matters into their own hands. Their mission was clear: to develop a remarkably effective natural deodorant that not only boasted an enticing fragrance but also delivered on its promise.

After months of experimentation and "stink testing," Pit Putty was born. Handmade in the UK using only natural and sustainable ingredients, this natural deodorant quickly gained popularity, securing spots in hundreds of stores across the UK and Europe.
In 2023, after nurturing Pit Putty for years, Luke and Laura decided to take a step back and return to their roots in Australia. This marks the beginning of the next exciting chapter in the Pit Putty story.

Meet EcoLiving, and it's owner Jo Mack! EcoLiving are championing the realisation of a dream: a plastic-free, all-natural deodorant crafted right here in the UK.
EcoLiving is committed to upholding the essence of Luke and Laura's legacy, ensuring that their passion for sustainable, natural solutions lives on.

In 2014, Jo found herself in a constant struggle to discover eco-friendly products to assist her and her family in reducing their plastic consumption. Faced with a scarcity of truly plastic-free, compostable, or biodegradable alternatives, she took matters into her own hands.
Enter Boobalou, her brainchild, where she collaborated with like-minded friends to produce a range of products, from menstrual pads to disposable nappies and even reusable teabags.
What began as a modest online retail venture operating from a single room in her house quickly outgrew its confines, expanding to a cabin in her garden and subsequently to a storage unit—then another!
The surge in demand for planet-friendly products, particularly following the environmental impact highlighted in Blue Planet, prompted Boobalou to scale up operations.

Now, situated in not one but three warehouses in Arundel, Sussex, Jo Mack's dedication to providing sustainable alternatives has evolved into a thriving enterprise.
ecoLiving recently marked a significant expansion by acquiring its dedicated manufacturing facility in Burgess Hill. This move empowers them to produce their own line of products, including detergents and cosmetics, reinforcing their commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly solutions.
Importantly, this development ensures the continued production of Pit Putty in the UK!
